    Code 43 What A Nightmare!

Code 43 Where to begin. I know the search feature, done that. I need help guys. Heres what I have done:

    O2 Sensor (Bosch)
    Cap, Rotor
    Fuel Filter
    Cleaned Injectors

Still no luck. When it gets real hot in the cabin the car doesn't want to start either. I have the Main Fuel Relay to a cb7 92 LX would fit my cb7 93 SE? I would hate to buy another one if I don't have to.

      cb8tunerguy,

Thank you for the diagram. I followed the instructions listed, and at step 6 the answer was no so I figured everything was ok. I even changed the Main Fuel Relay because I know that's common problem. The check engine light is still coming on but only when I hit 40 to 50 miles an hour. I also checked the O2 sensor, which was replaced 2 months ago but the wire part was full of oil, so I clean that out with compressed air and a towel. I have no idea where the oil is coming from, but thats a whole other problem. The cars has about 165,000 miles and at times it seems as thou it's to much to keep up with.

Please help I would hate to give up on my cb7!!

it doesnt even sound like you tried to troubleshoot the problem. all you did was clear the dtc and tried to get it to recode, if it recodes there is a problem i wouldnt just replace the ecu. first off bosch o2 sensors are junk before they are even installed. follow the troubleshooting tree with a volt-ohm meter and you will find the problem. the link for the troubleshooting chart is straight from the honda service manual the dealers use. my guess is the o2 sensor is bad or there is a poor connection. start with a volt-ohm meter and see what you find

          cb9tunerguy,

Thanks again for your post. New development: My idle speed when braking and coming to a stop sign or light really goes down (But the card does not shut off), almost to the 500 mark then it jumps back up to 700. What could be causing this?

I'm gonna try and use the troubleshooting tree again using the volt-ohm meter, but I'm a newbie thou so its gonna be a challenge for me. In the end, if it does turn out that I need a new ECU where would I be able to purchase one? Where is the ECU located in our cars and how would I go about changing it? Is there a DIY on the ECU?

Thanks a million, you guys are keeping me sane!
