    fuel leakage. ->>cracked injector??

haha well i started my car today, took some time for some reason...had no idea why.

well i started the car and it smelt foul..i never smelt that bad of exaust before...i was about to go in my house and then i smelled a strong odor of gas...and im like wtf..

so i look under the car and there is a water fall of gasoline spillin...IM like O SHIT>>.hahah i turn off the car and inspected the engine.

it turns out to be from my upper fuel injector from my fuel rail. its leaking in 3 directions...haha kinda funnie...

the parts to replace all seals (since ill be taking the whole rail off anyways) is going to be 17.44 x 4....so thats around 80 bucks and im thinking of doing it myself.

yet my dad is fuken not trusting me to do it, and im like its hella easy...just 4 bolts, maybe the intake plentnum as well and tada

he replies...."everything you think is easy"

pisses me off...i done mainly all the work on this car and then he says that shit...

ITs nothing to it just disconnect the negative side of the battery and dont smoke whatever you do. Check the fuel lines under the car aswell and the fuel filter just for good measure just visually inspect them. the little plastice gaskets are proably wornd which = leakage. and dont forget about the fpr gasket to visually inspect that as well good luck.

hahha GEE but they will come up with the excuse that it is something else and what are you gonig to say? if something is messed up they will say, "we need 80 bucks to inspect it" and then if they fix it for free they still got your 80 bucks.

fuk dealer, they are soo fuken ripoff and they sometimes dont do things right...

and when u get the problem when u get home...how are u going to prove that its something they did...its just soo much BS to deal with and their run arounds...

            dealer is for sisies!!

if he's paying though, then let them have at it.....if he wants you to pay, then tell him to get fucked, just my opinion
i may get my uncle to do it...he said he will help

my question to you is, should i replace just those o-rings that are leaking...or replace all 3....one where the fuel rail is, one after the injector and one surrounding the injector...?

see there is more than one o-ring...what you think?

one is 17.44 for one injector..all seals...so multiply by four if u can count....if not since ur a noob...ask ur teacher..lol jk

thanks man, i appreciate it....but i got them all and they were a total of like 60 bucks. also i need it by tomorrow hahaha...thanks for the help anyways!!

actually the one that they didnt have that costs the most was actually a nylon washer..i bought it anyways and 4 of them costs 13 bucks. but imma just look at mine, if its not warped then i wont replace it.

yet i got the other parts...so tomorrow is the task of doing it...if i have time and an extra hand ill do a DIY...but its soo easy that anyone can probably do it.

well i did it today myself and it was easy. it was just like changing oil..except i got fuel on me thats it haha.

when i took off each injector, i inspected it, and noticed crud around it...obviously crud from gas....but the injector where it injecots fuel was clean...carbon around it was not.

i wiped it off and then replaced the bad seals. all 3 of them. and in each injector.

on injector # 1 i noticed the injecot plastic on the side that goes into the engine, was cracked...i dont know why or how...but it is something i should look into. i have no clue why, perhaps fizz buddie can shead some light.

its easier to take off the FPR (fuel pressure regulator) so you can take off the whole fuel rail, and take off the connection for the injectors...forget removing that intake plentum

ill return those nylon spacers though, mine were fine...
