the knock sensor just detects knock and retards the timing so that your engine will not get damaged. Correct me if im wrong........

Roger That! well i got the sensor...its an obd1 sensor now im just waiting on a friend with a 25 or 26 mm socket so i can take the one on the block off..its like broke off lol.

did you build this motor yourself?

if not, whoever did should have done a valve adjustment. if they didnt, you have a pretty shitty mechanic.

turns out the motor might be shot...my friend who knows alot says that it might be a rod...and the master cylinder is shot...and the tranny...i got ripped off...

and just so you know.. the knock sensor uses a 27mm socket..
