    Timing belt replacement cost?

Hey guys, I want to replace my timing belt and water pump because I think it has never been changed. I live in San Diego, and I was wondering how much it SHOULD cost. Also Who should I take it to in this area that I can trust to do it right? I went to fuller honda here in chula vista and they wanted over $600. Thanks guys,

    Daryl

Should be replaced every 90K. It can break without any warnings, so do it soon. Cost should around $400.

If you feel like you can do it yourself there is a timing belt diy in the diy section. When I last did it, it wasnt that hard just time consuming. And whats the mileage on your car?

First off, correct me if I am wrong, but isnt there two belts to be changed and the pump, the timing belt and the oil pump balance belt, Also it only costs $350 CDN at honda here to change t-belt, and another $100 for pump!
they charge you for a coolant flush to I think?

hey guys, honda wanted $600 for the coolent flush, and timing belt / waterpump replacement.

I just called pepboys they want $470 for the same but can I trust them?

they said they use a Bush (pepboys) brand water pump and their techs are ASE certified. Can I trust them to do quality work?

My mileage is 133k, it just hit 133 today.

                hmm I just found this:

                Bosch® Water Pumps
                as low as $19.99

I spelt it wrong in the above post.

Every 90K miles or 6 years, whichever comes first. Go wherever you want just as long as they use Honda OEM parts...aftermarket t-belts and waterpumps are shit. Replace the timing belt, balancer belt, waterpump, cam, crank, and balance shaft seals and install a balancer seal retainer with OEM. As far as the valvecover gasket and drive belts any brand will be okay.
