i have ask if there would be a problem with running a civic radiator in our stock f22 of h22 and i found the answer look at these pics



these cars are running fine with out the engine over heating!

ok, that is a nice fuggin' manifold, and thatfirst civic went from zero to hero just from cleaning the engine bay!

Looking into an aluminum civic radiator myself. The 600whp cb7 has a half-sized radiator also btw.

That Manifold I Call The Spider It Is Quite Expensive For A Mani And It Around $400- $500 But Is Dam Worth It

Yeah, that's what I was wondering. I mean those radiators in civic's are meant for there 1.6L motors not our 2.2L motors. I'm sure it could work, but I wouldn't take that chance running a 2.2L motor, especially if you push your car hard.

Like I said.....I wouldn't want to run a small radiator on 2.2L. I would just be afraid of there being too much heat produced and the little radiator not being able to handle it. But thats just me. Maybe I'm wrong?< I could be >

What I don't understand is if you have the room for a large radiator that cools well....then why would you go with a small one?

hehe...calm down kids I'll go more in detail. The 600whp cb7 has an h22 in it right? He switched to the alum civic due to clearance issues as will i most likely. My compressor is already part way into the fan bracket and if i got an accord radiator i'd have to lose a fan. So why not just get a more efficient radiator thats smaller? I simply don't have the room to attempt getting an accord radiator. So for some of us its alot more practical, besides i can see my coolant temperature in fahrenheits anyways so i'd know how safe or dangerous it was immediately

pushing car hard = alot of heat. Using a lil radiator.....I don't know about that.

you have to realize that the civic w/turbo, and NoS isn't using an OEM radiator. the radiator on that car is probably a "race" type radiator meaninng----> high flow, dual core, and of course, show polished
its meant for high HP vehicles, and i'm sure he's using a high-flow thermostat as well to compliment his setup.

holy lord 99 everyday, and i complain when it hits 90 here.. course the humidity is crazy.

When we first put a 350 in an izusu trooper we used the stock radiator, but found out it stunk big time. so we got a desert racing aluminum radiator..cost a preaty penny, but i dont think that 350 has ever warmed up to full operating temperature yet.. when we first got it we almost sent it back because it was puny! it was almost 1/3 the size as the stock izusu radiator, but the guys at the store said..."Just use it, and stop complaining" we TRIED to prove the dude wrong by blocking it off with cardboard and going all up hill forcing that thing to over heat... couldn't even come close!... so if you have the right radiator it doesn't matter how small it is..

plus with your a/c radiator in the way it's most likely only getting the same air flow as if you had the civic radiator in it....but that's just a guess.
