using a voltmeter to test voltatge on tps

Can anyone tell me how am i supposed to test the tps on a voltmeter i know that the reading is supposed to be 5 at idle and 4.5 at wot. NOw the thing is where is it supposed to be set on on the voltmeter to catch the reading because im i think im doing something wrong. I have it dialset on the dcv 20 on the multitester. The tester has batteries in it the numbers are all at zero I have the pins where they told me to connect em to. NOw what becasue i wanna get my shit straight because the tps is sending a code because its not calibrated rigth being that i changed the sensor myself .

TPS - Honda call it Throttle Angle Sensor.. Same thing..

While car ignition switch is on
measure the voltage between YEL/WHT (+) terminal and GRN/WHT (-) terminal.

Multimeter should read.. (setting DCV - 20)
0.5 V at full close throttle
4.5 V at full open throttle
