i recently had the problem with the key not working. get under dash and look at clutch, there is a button on it, above that you will see a yellow connecter, pull that off and jump it and try your key, solved my problem

also if that works, it will allow you to start in gear without clutch

thats an -ok- solution... BUT he will lose the ability to use cruise control. I have it jumped for my remote starter.

there are 2 wires that lead into a connector. unplug it and connect the 2 wires to each other, that should make the car think that the clutch is depressed.
for the comment about losing the cruise control you could wire up a toggle switch from those 2 wires and mount it on the dash and "disengage" via switch, the clutch when needed.
or if you have some cash you could spend like 40 dollars and get it replaced. Ask for the clutch switch at a parts store. if not, then jump the wire. I actually ran 2 wires in, one from the battery and one to the stator. on my 3g accord it used to have a switch for the antenna, but i didn't use it so i just stole that wire harness and hooked up the two wires to that. Worked for me.
