Timing belt 1 or 2 belts??

Im getting my timing belt done tomorrow and they asked if it was one or two belts.....I didn't know what to say...can someone let me know how how many belts there are? thanks!!!

ones the timing belt the other is the balance shaft belt if i were you had have them BOTH replaced.

I'd say get another mechanic. They shouldn't have to ask the customer questions like that. But to directly answer your question: ^^ what he said ^^

^^^and also what he said if your mechanic asked if you want both timing belts replaced you should be worried! when you took it to him for a timing belt he should have just suggested you to replace the balance shaft belt as well. if i were you i'd go back to the shop and question his knowledge.

Better yet, don't go back.

The timing belt service is not hard, but like any car there is a way to do it right. Plus, while you're in there, not a bad idea to do the cam & balance shaft seals, balance shaft retainer clip, water pump, oil pump seal... blah, blah, blah...

YES, ^^^^what he said....

Definately do both belts, waterpump, cam seal, and balancer seal retainer at the very least. The balancer seal, crank seal, and gearset o-ring are up to you.
