6th(?) gen 4cyl sohc engine fit in 4gen?

I'm just wondering because my friends planning on getting a 6th gen, the one with the nsx tails, and putting an H in it. This means i get the engine thats in there for cheap... if it fits the 4g. can I do this and how easy is the swap?

Yes you sure can. but you'll need a newer motor to be 100% legal. One that's the same year or newer then the year accord it is.

It prolly fits but why would you want that.
I mean, its only like what 150hp.
Why dont you get a DOHC F22 which would be better suitted for our
cars? and plus it should be around the same power.
Not to mention that 6th Gens are OBD-II so wiring is an issue.

Me personally i think those 6th Gen engines suck, as do the 5th gen.
Very similar, they lack that "Fun to drive" feeling.

He's talking about the 6TH gen engine, the F23, not the H22.

              not reading owned me

But yeah it should be a fairly easy swap. you'll have to do some work on converting over the motor to OBD1 but it shouldn't be too hard. You should be able to get a OBD2 -> OBD1 conversion harness that should make things really easy

the reason I'm not going to get an f22b dohc or h22 anytime soon is that im on a real budget and i think the +25hp jump from my lx is pretty good for a 150-200$ swap..thats how much im getting the engine for.
how much do the obd2 harness' go for? im going to do a google search right now...

thanks for the comments, its appreciated
