    o2 sensor? wont come out

That is the o2 sensor right? Well, im trying to remove it so I can remove the headshield from my exhaust manifold and it will not BUDGE. Does it unscrew? Pull straight out? I need some help

they unscrew, but they're on there pretty good. Use some liquid wrench to loosen it up.

Good luck, sometimes they're a real bitch. I know the one on my Nissan pickup was.

You might be able to disconnect the O2 sensor plug, manouver it a bit, and slide it out. I had a simular problem with the 3rd gen and I ended up doing that since the O2 sensor wouldn't come out.

there is a special socket they make for removing the o2 sensor. I was also told its a hell of a lot easier to remove if you heat the engine up first, then dump a glass of room temp water on the sensor. I guess it makes the metal contract really fast on the sensor and its easier to remove... never tried it myself.

Yeah, you'll need an O2 sensor socket, it makes life a hell of alot easier. But if all you want to do is remove the heat sheild, dude, just unplug the connector and slide it thru.
