Is this bracket present on 5spd cars?

I'm about ready to remove my 5spd and I'm wondering if this particular bracket (REAR ENGINE MOUNT BRACKET) is attached to the the manual transmissions? I've been looking on both sides and I can't find it. Of course it's perfectly possibly it's so covered in grime I've missed it.

That bracket is on some of the manual transmissions. I've seen it both ways, and have personally removed it from some of my vehicles.

It looks to be placed on the passenger side. Is that correct?

Ok so I'm probably not going crazy then. That said I'm having a hell of a time finding somewhere to pry the trans backward. I've gone over the bolts and brackets and I'm pretty sure they're all removed, but I can only get the trans to barely budge away from the block.

Is there a secret place to pry where I won't do any damage? The service manual is no help here.

There should be 4 pulled from the front(if looking at the transmission from the passenger side wheel) 2 below the head, 1 starter bolt and then one at the bottom right near the tranny ground. Then on the back side where the half shaft goes in and the rear bracket you have 3. One at the bottom, one just below the water pipe and one where the block pokes out. Make sure you remove the flywheel guard plate near the oil pan. There could be a little L bracket there that connects to the tranny and the block. But I’ve only seen that on h22s. I can snap pics if you need me too. But it does take a little prying, you can either put a crowbar in the hole to check timing or a screw driver and rubber mallet. But once it started it should be pretty easy after that.

The timing hole is pretty much the only place I saw that was big enough, but I was concerned that wall right there might be too thin. I'll give that a shot tomorrow after my turkey nap.

I don't recall seeing that on either my 90 LX or my 92 EX (both 5-spds).

Look up in the back for the "bitch bolt." its another trans mount bracket that looks exactly like the one you already pulled out and is hard to see or even get at. It goes from the drivers side into the transmission up and around where the half-shaft goes in.
