help please

ok heres the deal.. my little car on the dash that shoes the doors are open or closed.. is sometimes randomly on... sometimes...off like normal... .and sometimes... all the way on constant... what does this mean...

also... how much is a voltage regulator replacement

does it happen on the same door always or different doors? if its the same door its most likely the door sensor

theres a lever kind of thing on the body when you open the door. when the door is closed, it lets it close the lever. which shows the sensor the door is closed. try putting like a tiny stick or something in all of those lever things so that the door lights dont come on at all (in the gauge cluster) drive around like that, if the lights go on then its a cluster problem. if not, its the door sensor.

btw: if you have an alarm be careful cuz the alarm wont recognize if the door is closed or not (if its connected to the door sensor)

and yes i have had wiring work under the dash...

and its not just one door at a time its the whole car all 4 doors trunk and brake light

please help ... this is really annoying

go to the junk yard and pick up a new cluster
see if that works
