Can't help you out much(I suck at electrical stuff), but I can tell you to remove the fuse rather than disconnecting the battery. It's under the hood in the black box and it's labeled. That way you don't have to reset your clock and shit.

thanks man but the thing is that it only turns on once in a while and there are 3 things i think can be the reason for this either the fan is connected directly to the battery or it is connected to the horn(horn cancels out when fan is on) or the sensor is not sensing when the car cools down.I dont like messing with electricity so that is why i dont mess with it.

maybe it's a faulty switch...i think there are two of them....follow the plug from the fan and the first one you run into is probably the culprit
well what the last owner told me about it was that idk if this has something to do with it(just started messing with the car come on im 16) but what he said was that they disconnect a plug soemwhere near the fan so that they can turn on the heater and then to use the A/C you have to switch the plug and connect it to the A/C plug.If i get a new fan how much do you think it will go for? (if i should get one)

Funny you should say this, I worked on one today with the exact same problem. Replace the fan switch.

well if the previous owner messed with the wiring, you just have to see what the heck they did. Is your a/c switch on? Maybe if you could get a couple of pictures of the fan area and wires.

He had told me that to get a/c you have to get the plug for the heat and connect it to the a/c's plug what can i do to get everything str8 do i need a whole new fan both of the fans?

well, i cant really understand the whole wiring issue. BUT... just wire your fans up to a switch, and then you can turn them on when you need them on, and turn them off. That would be the easiest, simplest way to do it when you dunno whats going on with the wiring.

well its obviously wired to the heat switch.. just turn that off before you leave the car, and you should be fine. And your fans are FINE. If they turn by themselves... then your problem.. obviously is wiring.

Thats the thing the heat can be off and it will turn on still but not as fast. The other day me and my father were trying to fix it and we wanted to see if the timing on the fan was correct we waited at least 10-15 min after the car was warm for it to turn on and it didnt even move.I thought it was the fan clutch but the fan wouldnt turn on at all if it was that.Im not trying to go to a junk and getting a new fan because if that fan is messed up alos i will lose my money. Is it easy to take off the fan?

I am trying to tell you... the fan either works or it doesnt. If it spins.. then it works. If it never never never turns on.. then it might be broken.. then you just wire it directly to the battery for a second, and see if it turns on. I would suggest you just wire one or both to a switch by the dash so you can turn them on and off whenever. You can find a power source in the kickpanel fusebox, and that way, even if you leave the switch on, that fusebox *shouldnt* have power when the car is off.
