    PISS BUT KINDA NOT....CARS DOWN AGAIN.....kinda long story

    but not for long....

    heres what happen, and maybe some of u can tell me how it happened....

    just a few hours ago i was making my runs (x-mas) gettin stuff for my girl, stop past my couzins house to talk to him for a while a was like Hey the tracks open today (Bowie) i should go up there get 2-3 runs in then call it quits. but i didnt kno where it was so i head towards my other friends hang out because they kno where its at. before i even get over there (i had my headlights on) lights start to fade out......(had this problem not to long ago, change the battery) so im like oh shit.....must be the alternator, so i say fuck that, im turning back around and heading home before the car cuts off, so i buck a u.

    i turn my lights back on to see if it was still doin it, and it was so i turned them off. next thing i kno...........

    BOOM!!!
    SKID!!!!

    im like.............. ............ ....o shit...i kno what that was
    get out and the tires damn near facing the other way while the cars laying on the ground.....FUCK, damn axle broke

    i look under the car and.............the outer part of the axles fine, nuffins broken.
    the axle had came out of the transmission HOW...

    called my couzin who just brought a tow truck a month ago (starting a towing business, glad he got it. he comes and now the cars on his truck at his house, we're waiting til tomorrow so we can go to another friends shop to fix it.

    but what do u all think, how could this happened????

    i mean, the whole axles is intack. the lower ball joint (i think thats what it is) came off, and that might a been because the tire was draged in the opposite direction. and the axle cam out of the tranny.

    do u all think this would have been causing tyhe lost of power, i could have been losing power in the accessories and in HP because of this right?

    could it had been something in the axle/tranny connection that broke or something that would of cause it to just pop out?

    but the good thing from all this is i kno shit like this happens when ur tryna turn a 16-17second car into a 14-13 second car so im getting kinda use to my car f-n up and im glad i wasnt on the highway doing 60+mph
    or was at the track racing.

    UPDATE........

    we might of found out what it was. talked to my couzin who talked to our friend with the shop, he said it might have been a bad tire rod and it snaped, but his gona look at it to make sure.

    he told me like almost when i first got the car that i need a new tire rod on that side but i forgot all about that, damn.....


    but will see monday

      you put the cotter pin through castle nut on the lbj? sounds identical to what happened to me a long time ago. I don't really think that would cause you to lose power...

            damn.. that pic is what my car looked like after the accident but mine was worse, the tire was tilted 10x more up and in, very strange..

              damn that sucks. u know what on my car i hear something knockin also but i get it ever once in awhile. it sounds like its comin from the tires or around that are but not sure, but before i got the other motor put in i never heard this knockin. once i got the other motor put it in the next day i drove it on the highway i heard this. when i am on the highway i hear it every once in awhile. its like when i am drivin normal around the 60 -70 mph range i hear it and once i hear it if i step on the gas more it gets louder and if i let go it gets quieter. could this be like some what of the same problem like what u guys put down. something wrong with the axle or rod maybe it wasn't put it on right?

                Possible an Tie Rod issue, there is 2 of them the upper and lower tie rod, both help the wheel stand straight, and I guess held the axle in place? don't know much about suspension, but I was told my axle could pop out if my tie rod was broke by a tires shop, I was not going to try my luck on thing like that so I had them replace it...

                ON the Good Side, the F22A tranny and axle can handle the 200+HP but those dame tie rod won't

                IF any 1 ask why your wheel facing outward, BS them and say your ride setup is for drifting, it can cut corner in a blink doing 80mph : SOme gullable fool will believe it too :

                  I've seen allot of fourth gens have their lower ball joint come apart and cause that. But it could be any of the three, tie rod end, upper ball joint, or lower ball joint.

                  The losing power is a seperate issue that just happened to have occured at the same time.

                    My problems come from my stupid ball joints. I broke 3 in two months. Some say its from my bushings, some say i shoot off the line while my wheels are'nt straight. When ever they brake they look just like that picture. Are you able to save your axel? I never can when my joints brake. But I think that the power outage was a coincidence.

                        yeah man i m.

                        for the power issue im a just get a new alternator to sense thats what it looks like.
                        but as for the axle, its still in tack, it just came out of the tranny
                        but whatevre it is tie rod or ball joint, im getting both fix on both wheels...lol


                        i just hate it happening around x-mas, i just spent all my money gettin my kids gift and my girls gift and still have to pay the bills.
                        guess my insurance companyies gona have to get halfof this months payment...lol

                            If your batt light is turning on in the dash, then it's just your Voltage Regulator, but it's hella hard to change, I'd just go ahead and get a new/reman/used alternator...

                            If you're just not getting enough juice, then you may have a bad ground somewhere. Coupled with underdrive pulleys, you're prob'ly passively discharging at an accelerated rate AND not charging quickly enough when the engine's running...

                              How many people have personally HAD or know someone personally who's balljoint(upper or lower) broke????

                              This is really starting to scare me, and at 120-130 that could spell nothing but disaster. PLEASE let me know of anyone or yourself had balljoint trouble. I'm very serious! I replaced one lower joint, but not cause it broke.


                              PLEASE reply if you have heard anything else of this trouble.
