    CLEGG Rebuild Kits

    Hi everyone.

I'm looking at rebuilding a H22 in the near future, and im wondering if anyone has any experience with these guys?

Clegg, i cant find much information on them and was wondering if they are reputable and a good source for what i am looking for.

there seems to be a signifcant cost increase from the engine kit to the full engine kit, and the only difference i can see is the timing belt and oil pump, which i think would not cost $350 extra to source.

If anyone has any help here it would be appreciated!

    Thank you
sold! But here's my build thread for those interested.

After rebuilding multiple engine with both OEM and aftermarket seals, I just try to buy everything OEM these days. I've eventually gone OEM for a few reasons.

One, there are just some gaskets and seals you either can't get via the aftermarket, or aren't the same quality. The VTEC solenoid gasket is a good example of one that seems really difficult to come by.

Secondly, there are just some times when the aftermarket gaskets simply don't fit, so you're forced to go to the dealer for odds and ends. The odd-shaped gasket for the back of the balance shaft gear housing was one that flat wouldn't fit. I tried to cheap out on a build and ended up needing to get it from Honda at the dealer's MSRP.
My Members' Ride Thread - It's a marathon build, not a sprint. But keep me honest on the update frequency!

Couldn't of said it better. And all of these parts are not something you want failing 100miles down the road. Where do they get their parts from, right?

      Maybe this guy :P
