    Door & Bumper Moldings

I'm sure this has been covered already but I thought I'd share my success. For those that still have the original rubber moldings on their CB, I'm sure they're pretty faded by now. I found a great product that literally brings them back life like new. Duplicolor Trim & Bumper Paint works wonders. Make sure you get the one with the black top! (There's a dark grey one also) If you know how to tape (prep) you can easily do this yourself. Tape off your moldings to protect your paint, I used trash bags instead of newspaper (they cover more space easier). Here's my before and after experience.

Thanks for sharing this. I was just noticing how faded the ones on my 91 are, so this would be a good product to try.

No problem at all. I've tried a few different things to bring these moldings back to life and this stuff really works. Spray about 3-4 coats and it'll look like new.

The other things I've tried do work initially, but the moldings seem to fade back pretty quickly (especially the door ones). I had even considered replacing the rubber ones with painted ones, but I'll definitely try this first.

Eh I didn't use the clear coat. Not sure how it would look on the rubber. We've been having horrible weather here for the past few days and they still look the same so I'm really happy with the outcome
