I got rear ended and am in the process as registering it as salvaged since it was "totaled". I got pushed into an SUV in front of me and that cut through one of the high pressure ABS lines. The car bled out on the road and emptied the reservoir. I refilled the reservoir. I now have an ABS light, but it doesn't really provide a code. I jumped the diagnostic port and I get a single fast flash, then nothing. It won't flash again until I turn the ignition to off and then back on. Again, I get only one quick flash and it will not repeat. WTF? I shorted the ABS fuse to force the pump to pump the new fluid through to bleed the ABS system. I hear the pump working, but it doesn't move. Would love some help. Thanks.

I mentioned that "I shorted the ABS fuse to force the pump to pump the new fluid through to bleed the ABS system. I hear the pump working, but it doesn't move." Perhaps I needed to be more explicit...the ABS system will not bleed using the jump method I found online.

Anytime there is a leak in the system, typically an o-ring, it will give a code 1. The ABS computer can't be completely trusted. It should (I think) repeat the flashes. But if it isn't and it's one flash is a code 1 that's an ABS pump over-run. Which is the code you will get with a leak. Also the code you will get with a trashed pump. Which if yours worked before the crash then that's unlikely.
Are you shure the ABS system worked prior to the crash? Most don't work anymore. And there isn't always a way of telling until you lock the brakes up. There could be no ABS light and the ABS system be nonoperational.
I messed with my ABS system last year and learned quite a bit about the system. Enough to give up on it. The ABS computer is known for not being very intelligent. Many people have had issues pulling codes from them. My reasoning for giving up on it is this. It's an old ABS system. I don't mean by age but by design and technology. Drive an ABS CB7 in snow/rain/ice. Then drive a non-ABS equipped CB7 in snow/rain/ice. You will see that a half decent driver can stop the car quicker than the ABS system can.
I see you are in cali, so I'm aware there might be legal issues therefore getting rid of the system may not be legal. If you can ditch it I would recommend it. Also, if you don't want to do a full ABS delete then just remove the computer. It's in the trunk passenger side behind the side panel. It has orange connectors.
If you want to fix the ABS system then I agree with h22sparkle. I would start by replacing the line if you haven't already. I assume you did. Because otherwise there is no point in bleeding it.
You may or may not find this thread helpful in anyway but here it is.

Just getting back to this...been rebuilding the EW for my rex...
The ABS worked just fine before I was nailed. I tested it fairly frequently ;-) There are no leaks at all. When I run the pump manually, it doesn't move any fluid. An ABS light is an automatic failure for the brake and light test that is required to get the salvaged car registered. If I disable it, they'll notice the ABS light not coming on for a few seconds when starting the car, which should be an automatic failure as well. Besides, I want to keep ABS.
I've seen threads for upgrading an early 90's Integra ABS to a later model ABS. Can't find anything similar for a CB7. I'd be willing to pay $2,000 for a brand new ABS if only someone sold one.
There are plenty of junk yard ABS for a CB7 at the local yard, but don't want to take a chance that I'm picking up garbage.
I'd be more than happy to rebuild my existing one too if only someone sold parts for it...Last edited by CB7 Fanatic; 11-19-2016, 08:31 PM.

Here's a thread on rebuilding the pump: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=203346
In this case, the pistons in the pump were stuck in their cylinder bores and so wouldn't pump fluid.90 LX 4dr 5 spd 396,014 (sold 1/1/2022) - MRT: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=201450
