    Front Tires innerside worn down

    Hi there,

I replaced the tires in June. The mechanic replaced the front lower ball joints and the passenger Upper Control Arm and the power steering rack ( it was leaking badly). And the front brakes

I took my car for a road trip and on the way back I noticed the power steering was pulling to the left. I also noticed that around 60 m/hr the power steering started to vibrate ( Around that speed only)

The driver side tire(inner side) has way more wear than the passenger side tire ( inner side).

I also noticed the front bushing which I replaced , were a bit loose ( there was space between the bushings when I lifted the car.

Rear tires as new as I got them .

Is there anything I can do before taking it to a Tire/alignment specialist?

    Cheers

you should have got an alignment immediately after installing all those parts. That's the first thing you should always do after replacing suspension components. Its too late now, the damage is done.

So then what is the best course of action?

Get an alignment. By "damage is done" he just means that the tires are worn, you can't get that tread back; not that there is other damage to the car. An alignment should significantly reduce further tread wear.

What "front bushing" did you replace?

The bushings in the pic. Both sides. I checked today and they were a bit loose. I tightened them again. But still the car is pulling one side. I take my hands off the steering wheel and the car goes to the right.

I was not aware threads can wear out so fast. After 3000 miles The wear is all the way to the steel wire layer :/ . I must say all the miles were on the highway. ...I rotated rear to front just in case. I will take it for alignment next week. And get two tires.

If you put the rear up front, they're going to get worn too. You want the best tires in the back regardless.

Sway bar bushings do not have any effect on tire wear or if it does its insignificant. You have an alignment issue and you need to get it aligned ASAP otherwise it may damage something else like your wheel bearings. Is your car stock ride height or is it lowered?

If those are the stock bolts, washers, and spacers, tighten the nut until it gets difficult. The spacers and washers are there to set the proper amount of compression on the bushings. If it was not aligned after replacing all those parts, I'm not surprised that it is pulling. As stated, alignment ASAP.
