Been starting my cb7 with a flat head screwdriver for the past week. I'm experiencing an intermittent no crank problem. Usually it will turn over and start first thing in the morning on my way to work. After that, it's anybody's guess... more often than not, the engine will not turn over. I've replaced the battery, it's not the main relay... I re-soldered all the joints and I hear all the clicks when I turn the key. It's not the starter because I can start the car by shorting the positive wire to the solenoid. Popping the clutch works too if that tells you anything... thanks for the help in advance.

Car will not start... engine will not crank

I just thought to come back and update this thread... turns out it was a bad starter solenoid. I had ruled that out because I was able to start the car by jumping the positive terminal on the starter to the solenoid. If I was smart, I'd have replaced the starter to begin with to rule it out completely(it was under warranty). Lesson learned.
