    Engine pinging.

I have a 1992 Honda accord lx that I rebuilt the motor in about a year ago. Its a f22a1. The motor was slap worn out so I took the head and had valve job done did a rebuild kit in the bottom end. The problem is unless the timing is all the way retarded its pings. And even then I hear a ping when I shift gears from time to time. This is the head off my old motor and it pinged then too. So this is my question. Is the head my problem or is something else wrong? I have replaced the injectors, fuel filter, fuel pump, fuel pressure regulator and the fuel lines and hoses. Its got 37 psi or fuel pressure. I check the can timing. Its dead on. Compression is 175psi on all 4 cylinders. The only mods are h23 intake,eBay short ram a4 header, cat delete and a6 camshaft. Any help would be great. Thanks guys.

Are you sure it's pinging? I've heard similar noises being made from cars with aftermarket exhaust, just because the way the exhaust flows has been changed.
sold! But here's my build thread for those interested.
