So last week I was driving home and my car died, I was going between 35 - 40 mph. I tried to start it again with no luck. We got it home on a trailer and I found out that the timing belt was missing teeth on about 3-4 inches of belt. Apparently the previous owner bought the belt, tensioner, etc but never changed them (I found a receipt in the glove box). I got it all changed, made sure the marks were all lined up and started the car. It started perfect, and idled exactly right. I went to drive home from my parents house and I have no power in the car, until the rpms are around 3k. It then takes off and goes back to no power once the transmission shifts. Any ideas what could be wrong? Could the crank be 180 degrees off?
