Engine miss on start up

    My misfire is different than yours. When it's heat soaked, and I go to start it up, it will miss as I try to drive away. Then I'll give it a good amount of throttle till like 4K once or twice and it'll stop.
    Igniter, main relay, IAT and IAB plugs switched, burnt component on ECU board, poor ground or damaged wiring.

    How do you know your IAB's only open when the car is warming up?

      I only get that higher rpm boost when it's warming up, not after. It's that or they're sticking. I'll look at the ECU after I deal with these damn ants.

        Ants suck.

        That's not the best way to tell if they are opening or not which I'm sure you are well aware of. A test light or camera etc are ways to be sure. And I've heard it said that the vehicle has to be in motion in order for the IAB's to open. As in driving with the RPM's past 3800, not free revving. I'm not positive on that but that's what I've heard. Something to look into none the less.

          It might be, it's vacuum controlled so it might just open at 38. That misfire on warm start is back hard. I almost got in a really bad wreck because of it. And my idle is bad again. So there's that, pointing to the igniter again.

          I'm going to recheck the distributor, and take a look at the ECU prints like suggested

          And yeah, ants are terrible. I checked my fenders and condenser for dead animals, and got nothing. There's no food, no water, no dirt mounds, just ants. I hate them.
