hey i just started my car and revved it to about 3k rpm then all i hear is a loud pop and then smoke coming out my intake filter, i dont know whats going on can someone please help?

all i can think of is that your timing is out a bit -
definately a backfire it can be a risk of fire but i highly doubt it yeah your timing may be a lil bit off....... other than that are you running rich
btw the reason i say risk of fire is due to the smoke which is fire coming from the intake mani. which is why it is called a backfire if the fire is close enough to the filter sometimes the filter can ignite causing an engine fire which is never funComment
