Anyone running the Rywire Harness for H swap?

I ask because there is no egr connection and I have no clue what the extra wires for the shock tower harnesses are for. I checked their pdfs but there doesn't seem to be an accord write up

Not sure if you own one yet or not but when you order one you specify the connections you want to delete or add (EGR, VTEC, etc.). Sounds like you bought this from someone else who had it specifically made for their ride.

I remember RyWire's site saying something about specifying what car (Accord vs Prelude) and trim level you have because there are so many different setups with those shock tower plugs when it comes to these cars, and that you'd likely have to send your stock harness in so they can be sure. Buying used is definitely risky here.

Like it is stated above , most of the rywire harnesses are custom for the cb chassis due to the shock tower plug configuration. I have the rywire harness, and the extra wires are for adding sensors. The extra wires come from the main harness not the shock tower sub harness.

Post a picture maybe I can help you out.

Sorry I don't have pics at the moment since I'm out of town. But I ordered this from rywire a year ago and finally had time to work on it now. I specifically ordered an obd1 90 93 accord h series harness and it didn't come with egr plug and came with a map sensor plug..

My question is do I use this map sensor and disregard the one on the black box? Because thus harness hooks directly to the ecu and I have no idea where the black box one hooks up to.

Sorry for the long wall of text. Lol

Yes, just delet the black emissions box along withe the egr. Then just connect the map sensor, use the one on the the throttle body for h22's.

Would I need a chipped Ecu to delete the egr I'm assuming?

Not really , but if you have an h22 swap , then you will need one any ways.

yes or youll throw a code 12 intermittently, as of now I just have mine electrically connected at the black box (minus map) and the egr valve zip tied off to the side, only when im driving like on the highway and not changing throttle input itll pop the cel. but this isnt good, the ecu is expecting the egr gasses to be richening up the mixture. a chipped ecu is in the plans, then i can remove all that stuff.

also i know the rywire harness is cool and all but you took an expensive route to just add 4(5) additional wires

Yes I know rywire is expensive but I did the wiring myself the first time and it was a disaster. It was a good learning experience for me but I'll let the professionals mess with wiring from now on. Lol

I just made my own harness, except for the VTEC harness that I got from Rywire, because it was so easy and simple.

I had previously bought a Prelude H harness from them, and I was not satisfied with it.

shoulda just used the F harness and made your own vtec subharness, i was looking for this pic with my prior comment. cost free and maybe an hour of time, no problems. even used a computer's power supply molex connector so i can disconnect it under the hood if the need arises

thanks man,(glad someone else sees their value being reused lol) it only was feasible because I only needed 4 wires, engine didnt have a Vtec Oil pressure sensor, so I jumped wires at the ecu. it worked pretty well and add convenience. I still need to pack it with dialectric grease and put a piece of 1 or 2 inch shrink wrap over it for a little weather proofing.

The rywire harness is a bargain compared to oem price. I had to replace my harness due to 20 years of oil, cracked, missing, cut, spliced, and burnt wires.
