They do for over sized Pistons. You look like you can use your stock stuff and just freshin it up. Re ring new bearings and a hone and clean job. But that's from looks. It's what the specs tell you. When you find a shop and they can do it with frm meterial then you need to leave the hole block/crank Pistons and rods so they can do what they do measure and cut if need be.

So at the machine shop, I should have them check:

      Head
      Block
      Cylinders
      Pistons
      Crank
      Bearing Color need

Anything else I should have them check?

I just deglazed my frm walls by hand with wet n dry sand paper. if you're confident and know what youre doing it can be a viable option.
If that vertical score can be felt with your fingernail though I'd get it honed professionally. But then you could be looking at oversized pistons.

          I know I ask a lot of questions, I'm like Johnny 5.

I'm curious about bearings, I can't tell the color coding very well. 3 of the rods look any where from orange, brown and yellow. The last one is green I believe. How can I tell what color coding bearings I need, or can a shop tell me?

Yeah, my colors were pretty faded, too.

I cross-referenced the colors against the stampings on the crankshaft and the connecting rods. Both have individual stampings on all four cylinders (although I had trouble finding the stamping on the crankshaft journals). There is a table in the service manual that tells you what color bearing to buy, based upon the stampings.

Have you had the cylinders looked at yet? I took my block in a long time back to a shop that does H22s all day - they even had a Prelude right up front when I went in. I mentioned one of the cylinders was scratched (looks exactly like yours; I could feel it with my finger nail, although the walls are still glossy as hell because of low mileage), and before even looking at it, the guy said it had to be re-sleeved. So I'm interested in what you hear...

I would personally not use this block, with these sleeves, because that scratch is very high into the stroke, where the compression is at it's greatest.

That scratch does catch with my fingernail, couldn't I just get the blocked bored out, and use oversized pistons or should I get sleeves?

Found these online, but I don't know if they will work with the FRM cylinders.

i think youre over analyzing things. that scratch is there yes, does it justify 1000's of dollars to address, no. just deglaze the cylinders and get some new rings and call it a day. Guess what I had a similar scratch on mine too from being a newb removing my pistons, I said fuck it, masked off the cylinder and spray painted some very high temp silicone paint over the area, then deglazed the cylinders with 1200 grit wet/dry sandpaper when I was cleaning the block in my bath tub, couldnt even feel it afterwards. I have great compression across the board and the car fucking rips .if the scratch was the entire length of the cylinder sure trip out..but not everyone can have NASA precision standards or budgets.

How do I know what bearings to use for my rebuild? I can't figure out what colors they are, and I can't find the stamp codes online to figure out where to look, can someone help?

this here what this gentleman said. Aside from the extra steps with the silicon paint i had the same block and ended up with the same results. if the scratch doesn't run the whole bore it's good to go.

Okay I'm back with some results on my walls, they needed to be re-done/plasma the material back on, so I had a local machine shop send the block off. While I was at the machine shop, I had them mic my crank to see the clearances for the bearings this is what he wrote down.

                            Rods

                            Flywheel - 1= 1.8887 2= 1.8891 3= 1.8889 4= 1.8889 Spline

                            Main

                            Flywheel - 1= 2.1651 2= 2.1648 3= 2.1643 4= 2.1643 5= 2.1649

Does anyone have a source to where I can find the color codes that would match these size bearings so I can order them off Majestic?

that's for a b series motor though right? Also how would I convert bearing diameter to bearing thickness so I can figure out the color codes? I found this on our site: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=41915
