Car misfiring at idle

My car has recently been misfiring at idle. I tried replacing the spark plugs but that didnt do anything. My distributor is about a year old. What else should i check?

well, my car's tach was jumping after 3k and it was a faulty ignitor (which is located inside the dizzy) and my distributor isnt even that old either.
