    Cb7 Worth It?

Hello I am looking at buying a new cb7. Has 175k a lot of new parts even more then what's listed on the AD I test drove it shifts very smooth engine is very quiet only problem is the ABS light is on and it has a ball joint or wheel bearing problem on the front left wheel other then that doesn't leak or burn oil here everything checks out as well with what he says and the well being of the engine/transmission is the AD anyone's opinion is greatly appreciated. BTW I'm finalizing the deal on Monday for 1,600.

Any evidence of rust (or rust repair) in the rear quarters; paint and sheet metal looks very good in the photos? Being from Ohio, I'd pay a premium for a rust free one, all the mechanical stuff is much more easy to fix. ABS is likely a sensor, even so, the normal brakes typically work fine with a malfunctioning ABS system. In the end, all that matters is it worth it to you?

Yes it's worth it to me. And it has very very minor rust for a NJ car really clean too for what it is. Just seems to be 1.6k is a bit much for it I would feel a lot better at 1.4k-1.5k

If you are finalizing the deal on monday why are you asking us lol.

But anyway, those license plates are pretty recent, probably issued around march/april of last year, so hes had it less than a year. find out why.

Yeah I already found out why he's had it for maybe 9-16 months. But I can't say for sure I'm finalizing the deal on Monday I don't think I feel good at 1,600 I'd feel a lot better at 1,500. OK one more question for everyone. The heater core went on this car not long ago started leaking antifreeze all over the inside of the car he fixed that then yesterday the heater blower motor went out do you think this is going to be a problematic car or do you think it's going to be a good car after all of this work being done?

I would lose the car over $100. If it doesnt have any rust, and if he has receipts for the timing belt i would buy it. Those alone are def the most important things to look at. That and the trans.

the only other thing is you really cant tell what the car looks like cause he used some retarded filter on the pictures. Natural light would be alot better

Yeah that's true well I already saw the car in person and took it for a test drive all the fluids look/smell fine it looks just as clean as it does in the pictures just minor rust on the passenger side wheel well. I spoke to him about the problem with the front left wheel and we agreed on 1,550 so I'm happy with that price. Transmission shifts smoother then any other cb7 I've been in and I've been in about 4-6 different ones.

the abs light is on in my car. still stops fine, so i don't worry about it. there's instructions here on the website on how to pull the code for that. it's fairly easy. if you hear a CRUNCHING noise, especially when turning, it means the wheel bearing is broken. if you are able to take the car somewhere where you can fishtail it (SAFELY) at about 45 mph and you hear a hum coming from a particular wheel, then it's likely a worn bearing. couldn't help you much on price since i've had mine so long, but hth.
