    Reverse & Window Problem

First off when my car is fairly cold (sometimes happens when it is not cold), I will put my car into reverse (auto trans.) and then as i start to move about 2 or 3 feet backwards, i get some jarring going on. Like it feels like i just hit a bump (which i havent) Whats goin on here? Is my trans slipping or something?

Now onto this window problem that has most likely been said before. My drivers window (power windows) will not line up when closed) It goes up straight until the last inch then it moves off track and then doesnt make the right seal. It has been taken the shop b4 and they lubed it all up but the problem came back after a week. Is my track all fucked up and is there any way to fix this? There probably is, but somehow i bet it will be really complicated. Thanx for any advice.

could one of your seals in your doors be going out and causing your track to get fucked up?

As far as the tranny problem, as far as I know, slipping doesn't make any jarring motion. Slippage is when you give it gas and go nowhere...at least that's what I'm told.

After you get this jarring, does it continue to jar even past the inital 3-4 feet? Also, are you giving it gas to cause the jaring or does it just do it when you take your foot of the brake?

    Good luck

I sort of had the same window problem. See http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=17460

What I found out was that the outter black molding was tangled up. I untangled it, put the window up and now it goes up all the way.

I got the same problem with my driver window rolling up. What I do is run my finger along the length of the rubber until the window makes a clean contact. I've seen my window out of track at the top half of upto 3". What you can also do, is push the glass towards you or away should you be on the outside of car as you roll it up.

sorry i havent been checkin this in awhile, for the tranny problem with the jarring. Sometimes if i add a lil gas it jars and other times its just when im rolling down my driveway. It seems to be coming from somewhere on the front passengers side, or so it seems. Ah well it seems to only do it when the car has been sitting for a while.

if the lubing of various parts of your window channels etc doesn't work, you probably just need a new regulator. mine did the same thing on the front drivers side. your problem is with a front window right? Mine wouldn't stray striaght once it got close to the top. the regulator was just plain worn out. Replaced itand it works fine now. oe regulator can be had for less that 70 bucks and is the right fix.

I was just going to say that, the window regulator is binding. If you have already tried lubing the runchannel and the problem persists, the regulator will just have to be replaced.

ya its been luber b4. I might take it to the Honda dealership and see what they will quote me for new regulators. As for the "jarring" in reverse, I will also get Honda to look at that. Thanx guys.
