    Alternator Upgrade

Hello my Autozone cheap ass alternator is getting weak on me again I've replaced it 5-6 times not looking to replace it under the warranty again or get stranded this winter again with these alternators plus this winter I will be needing to use interior features like defrost heater headlights and as it is not even winter my alternator is showing signs of being weak when I just turn headlights on use Windows and when I hit the brakes my lights dim a bit at idle. I just want to swap it out before winter comes and I've been reading how a 1992 HONDA PRELUDE SI alternator would be a direct fit and 90 amps. Now the alternator I have now is 80 amps but it's like a Autozone knock off and I'm sure it's not working to its full potential so I would think even a new reman 90 amp alternator by Denso would work a lot better. What would you suggest? Would the alternator below be a direct fit?

    Current alternator

I find it funny that this is considered a premium alternator.

Thanks Steve but I'm not sure if I need a high output alternator I'm more so looking for a new quality alternator one that isn't weak like my current one obviously the one you showed me isn't weak but I'm looking to get a alternator that has decent idle amp output my 1990 HONDA ACCORD at idle the lights dim a bit when headlights heater and defrost is used or when headlights and brake lights are used when I brake but yet a family members 1993 HONDA ACCORD does not do this at all at idle it makes no sense and I can't stand that it happens at every stop light. BTW Why a 90-93 INTEGRA HO alternator and not a 90-93 ACCORD HO ALTERNATOR?

Why the Integra alt? simple I linked to the wrong alternator. Sorry I did that on my phone.

        its probably bad grounds.

I know you didn't ask for HO but fro a couple dollars more you get much more power. I have used them in the past and like there alternators.

The problem with dimming lights is they can be a few things. Bad grounds, bad battery, bad alt.
I would look at the grounds if they look bad replace them with some 4 ga wire from your favorite stereo place.
        Get the battery tested.
Alternator belt could just be loose, maybe tighten it up.
        OR get a new alt.

If you don't have a big system or other electrical load items your stock alternator should do the work. However if you plan to get something in the future. I would upgrade and do it once.

True Steve I have a new battery but the alternator I have seems weak so I'll probably just swap it out and see how things go. BTW I noticed last night my power steering is moaning a bit what would you suggest to just renew the fluid?
