I'm trying to piece together a new exhaust system for my CB. I can't figure out what I want to do for my header. I don't want ebay junk, I want something reliable that's not going to leak and will give a little better performance. I've already decided on going with Apexi for the Catback and muffler. As for Bisi headers, I can't find them on his website since he has updated it. Is there any other good alternatives?

You realize your going to have around $2000 in an exhaust system if you go that route right? Not trying to overstep the boundaries into your financial business but that's more than most people pay for their CBs. In some cases that's 2 to 3 times what people pay.
The Apexi WS2 can be had for about $650, I have heard people say they have found it for $600. So lets say $600 for an Apexi WS2.
A Bisimoto header is $1200 or $1500 IIRC. I have not been able to find shit on his site either since he changed it.
The Bisi header will leak and the Apexi WS2 will be made out of mild steel and hang down too low. If your ok with spending $2000 for a leaky header and an exhaust made out of the same material cattle gates are made from then thats cool too.
The Apexi WS2 is not a poorly made piece by any means. But for the cost, it could hang a little higher and be made from stainless steel.
You don't have to spend $2000 to have a good exhaust system. No matter what some people say. And you don't even have to spend $600 to get a quality catback.
Hell for $2000 you could damn near do an H22 swap!

I will give it to the Apexi WS2 that it is the best off the shelf catback, that I know of anyways.

Oh man. I've got Apexi (680 shipped), a. Feel's header (700 shipped), and a new cat modified to fit the j spec header (200). Idk about everyone else, but I've never heard a better sounding Honda.
The WS2 hanging low problem can be fixed, but it is bothersome it isn't ready to go out of the box. But FYI, the thicker mild steel has s lower resonate frequency and the helps a bit. Or do I've learned talking to old muscle car guys about exhaust.'93 H22A 5SPD SE - MRT - DIY-Turbo Sizing

I did not know thicker mild steel has a lower resonate frequency. That is definitely interesting.
I personally love the look and sound of the Apexi, so much I got a knockoff
Granted, it doesn't sound the same, but I figured I could get a similar sound by playing with some resonators.
I could not justify spending more on an exhaust than I payed for the car. Some people can and that's cool, but I just hate it when people feel they have to.
You H22 guys definitely have a few more header options.

Yea a few, though mine isn't really considered an option. I have the only one stateside, at least that can be found on the internet.'93 H22A 5SPD SE - MRT - DIY-Turbo Sizing

I always thought Feels was as rare or rarer than anything with a Jasma stamp. I don't know if that still holds true though.
What do the F22Ax guys have? All that comes to mind is DC, Flowtech and some consider Pacesetter...
H22A guys have PLM, Vibrant, Kidd Racing Hytech Replica, Highend Tri Y (I think Logic made/makes it). I may be forgetting some.Last edited by H311RA151N; 07-08-2014, 09:36 AM.

Jasma isn't a brand. Jasma = carb as Japan = US. Jasma is an emissions stamp. So technically Feel's is more rare than than anything with Jasma on it lol.'93 H22A 5SPD SE - MRT - DIY-Turbo Sizing

After looking at a Feels header I see that it has the Jasma stamp too. The one I seen a while back did not.

Feel's made a few custom ones, generally bigger diameters, those were Jasma legal so they didn't have the certification stamp.'93 H22A 5SPD SE - MRT - DIY-Turbo Sizing

Looking online, I've seen some other that are intersting like DC Sports. I might just wait a while. Doing a lot of thinking about my f22 and trying to make power just will cost too much. Like you said H22 is a better way to go. So in the mean time, I'm going to save up for a h22 build, and then start from there.

On the F22, I would invest the cash in forged pistons (wiseco 85.5mm 9.0:1 comp from Raceeng), rebuild, big 16g, supporting stuff like fuel system, gauges and tuning.
Or, if I was after a little more power I would H swap.
EDIT... that would be a good question to ask the OP... But honestly, for an old F, for that kind of cash, I'd opt for an H as well.Last edited by H311RA151N; 07-08-2014, 07:38 PM.
