Help to Identify Power Steering Pump

I have this pump, and I can't seem to find a replacement. I remember a few years ago I tried a few from AutoZone unsuccessfully. I want to give it another go. This thing leaks and foams over. Need a new one! Tired of not having assist.

so.. a 93 Honda Prelude VTEC one should work.

I want to buy a new/reman. The one on eBay has a different pulley. Not sure if that matters. But I swear I tried that one and the lines didn't line up properly.

the ebay ad was just for reference, that thing looks shot. just swap your pulleys, mine (h22a) has 4 grooves..just went outside the CB has 4 grooves too, pulley looked a bit bigger though

I'll give the parts store a try again next payday. But I'm pretty sure I already tried the Prelude pump.

just take a look at it before paying, maybe it needs to specifically be the VTEC one.

if that dont work Ill sell you mine, pulled off the H22A I got from HMO and chillin since.Im not going to be using it.

Your H22 came out of a 5th gen Accord, hence the P0A pump. You'd find those pumps on the USDM 5th gen accords. The 92-96 Prelude pump is a P11, they look similar, but there are some big differences of the p/s high pressure hardline section. Look into 94-97 pumps.

My H22A came out of a JDM Prelude. It's a 93 engine. Erik said his also came from a Prelude.

If you know what it came out of, get the seals from Honda and rebuild it yourself. Disassemble, clean parts, reassemble with new seals (coat internal parts with power steering fluid).

naw i think mine came out of an accord sir..auto with lsd. but if pressures are different then you might want to go with what fleetw00d said rebuilding it. or start doing some concentrated curls :P

Lol, I've gone years without it! I know mine came out of a 93 Preulude Auto. Interesting our pumps are identical. I'll update this thread in a few weeks when I figure it out.

You were completely correct! No idea how my engine ended up with a 5th gen Accord pump. I'm gonna pick up a seal kit tomorrow and give that a try. Nothing looks worn internally, so maybe it was just a bad seal.
