    obd2a to obd2a harness

    Not sure if this should go in the electronics section or the tuning section or what, so my apologies if a mod has to move it. Anyway, I've been working on my 97 project accord for a while now, and I'm about to install an aem f/ic. The thing is, I'd like to buy a jumper harness to splice into rather than cut up my factory wires. I've found all kinds of obd2 to obd1 jumpers, but all I want is an obd2a to obd2a jumper to tap all my connections into. Anyone know where to look? I emailed rywire but have yet to get a response, so I'm asking the community for some help. Thanks everyone!

    OBD2a to OBD2a jumper harness isn't necessary.... it's the same thing.

      You're misunderstanding what I'm saying. I know my car is obd2a, it's a 97. All I need is a harness that will go between my ecu and my stock harness so when I splice everything in I'm not cutting up my factory harness. And if I ever need to remove the unit all I have to do is unplug the jumper.

        Just unpin the harness and add/move the wires you need to.

          No wires need to be moved. Only cut/spliced and tapped into. The f/ic wires up much like an safc. I don't want to cut my factory harness if I don't have to. Boomslang makes a harness that is specific for the f/ic, but it's 250 bucks which is insane.

          EDIT: link to said harness so you see what I'm talking about https://boomslang.us/check-out.php

            I see what you're saying now. I've never seen one myself.

              Years ago, I did something similar with vtec controller instead of splicing into the vehicle harness.. I was also looking into the boomslang harness, but didnt want to fork out $200 plus. So i did some research and bought an obd1 to obd1 jumper harness made by zerg industries from www.streetlightz.com it wasnt listed on their site, so i called and asked. They called me back and was able to order me one direct from zerg.

              Edit: Seems like this is the one you want from boomslang;
              https://boomslang.us/harness-extension.php its $150, not $200.
              Looks like boomslang lowered their prices since the last time i checked a few years back.
              $150 isnt bad. I ended paying $100 for the zerg ind. harness.

              If you have wiring/soldering skills and patience, you can save some money and find an obd2a car in the junk yard and make your own extension harness.
