All honda's are notorious for ticking. Some will do it more than others and like it was said it is even worse when it's cold outside. There is absolutely nothing wrong with it so don't sweat it.

I thought it was the sound of oil driping back into the pan that makes that noise. Either that or you guys are talking about something else.

i think its more of clicking increasing wiht rpms...

i have this...dont have the time and patience to adjust my valves
What makes me laugh about forums, is that no matter how much you try to help someone, they dont take the advice. Go ahead and do it the hard way.

You got to respect what you drive, and appreciate what you have, making the best of what you got. and if that means putting CAI, HID's, a phat stereo system, and a idiot in the drivers seat...then so be it!

I had the same sounds with my valves, then I started using 93+ gas and it has helped the noise alot, give it a try you got nothing to lose by running a better grade gas. Jay

If you're going to adjust them yourself, it's not that hard, just keep a manual on hand. I'd recommend using the Honda valve adjustment tool, otherwise you'll be fiddling with it forever to get it right. If the noise is increasing pretty quickly over time, might be that the cam is wearing out, which increases the valve clearance. Take a look at it when you take the valve cover off. You can sometimes re-use the gasket, but I would suggest replacing it... It's not all that expensive, and it'll make sure you don't have oil running all over your exhaust manifold or intake manifold like I did...
