Head liner rattle from hell

My headliner on the cb9 rattles really badly and is falling down a bit. Its become detached from the roof and makes a lot of noise. The clips are still in place so its not that. Can't figure out how to fix this, thought about using a utility knife and cutting it in half and glueing it, I know that's probably the lazy half assed way but I don't know what else to do.

Anyone know how fix this? If you do please let me know.

nobody can tell me how to remove the headliner so I can fix this?

You have to remove the pillar moldings, you start at the bottom and work your way up. You obviously have dome light molding, maybe the whole fixture. I don't know if your car has a map light. Pull the liner out, lay it on the ground and spray glue the fabric back on. I don't have a cb9 but I bet you have it easier than most because you can pull it through the back hatch.

Edit...on the second read it sounds like you mean the whole liner is hanging down, not sagging fabric. So the problem is going to be either broken clips or the location on the headliner the clip attaches to. Hopefully it's clips

You need to go buy a manual. They have them in stores, tells you how to take your car apart.

Yes, absolutely correct. Its not the fabric its the actual liner itself and its making a loud noise as I drive below 35mph or when I'm idling. Its not the clips I checked the two in the middle they seem to be fine, the headliner itself has detached from the roof. Its not even very visible that its hanging down but when you press it with your hand you can hear what sounds like tin metal (the roof) making the noise that is so irksome.

So I don't think clips will fix this unless there are more than just the 2 near the overhead light that you are speaking of. If its not the clips I think the idea of the foam is a good one, do you have any other suggestions?
