    Ex Exhaust Manifold

Where can I find the A6 Exhaust Manifold where it isn't an arm or leg? The cheapest I can find is around $250 and that is before tax? I don't necessarily want to go with used from the junkyard Because 1) Can't find the A6 2) Rusted so bad have to cut it off 3) Will it work as well as new?

I have one and it cracked but I don't want to buy a cheap POS again! I only bought the other eBay one because the old one had broke.

Did it crack at the mounting bracket that goes the bottom of the back of the block? If so, don't use that mount. It's notorious for cracking these headers.

The OEM one was cracked on the 2nd pipe to the left I don't know how!! It was before I got it and the eBay one cracked from where the Header meets the downpipe flange seperated itself from the 1 and 2 pipe on the left...If that helps?

farm and fleet..well hobart sells these nice 309L arc sticks...thats cheap enough. it probably cracked because your mounts are tired. is there a flex piece after the header b4 the cat?(or test pipe) you dont want a rigid exhaust.

Buy an OEM A6 header, the eBay ones are larger than stock and therefore louder. Here's one of sale for a good price:

A lot of people have their eye on that. I don't blame them, look at how nice it is:

Technically, that is an F22A4 exhaust manifold (welded) vs. F22A6, which is cast. They are interchangeable. For the price of shipping, I'll send you an F22A6 manifold; it is not cracked, but one of the front heat shield bolts siezed and broke off and I have been unsuccessful in drilling it out.

The reason it is only $47 is because it is a stock manifold painted silver/aluminum.

As mentioned that is a stock F22 tube manifold. And you can tell that it is not ceramic coated. It has only been painted a silver/aluminum colour. They might have used a high heat paint and called it ceramic. But I doubt it, ceramic coating a manifold like that would cost you more then $50 in materials alone. Think about it!

On a header with a true ceramic coating you would not see all of the seems that you can see on this manifold. if it were ceramic coated those bolt threads on the mounting tabs would require a cleaning/tap job in order to see the threads. You can clearly see the threads.
