F23 Timing Bracket Use With F22A Mount

Hey guys at Cb7tuner. I wanna ask a quick question, though I regret having to do so its just I need to know what's up with this. I just bought a JDM F23 long block (ordered it) and am gonna do the F22 head swap on it. My question is, you guessed it, about the timing side engine bracket. I know that just about everything from the F22 engine errrr I mean shortblock can be used on the F23 short block perfectly. Everything except the timing bracket. 1 of the bolts don't line up... I just can't stand the thought of having only 2 of the bolts for such an important engine component. Here's my solution. I use the original F23 bracket by drilling a hole in my ESP timing bracket so that it lines up.

Here's what I mean. This is my bracket (actual pic). I say cut a hole right where the dot is. Would it work is my question.

I've already seen people from the 6th gen site do something similar for H22 swaps. That is they modified the H22 bracket to work with their F23 mount.

Normal F23 bracket withe F23 engine:

And here is the modified H22 bracket to work just in the same way.

Cool huh? Why can't I make do something similar, that is my question.

Well it turns out I would need to make my mount to the specification of this:

This is the ESP performance mount for the F22b engine.

But could I just use the stock mount?

Well it turns out imma retard (you already knew this very well).
The F22 bracket bolts up with 3 bolts already just fine. See:

Question is why did Honda decide to take away one of the bolts from the bracket. The F22A has 4 bolts but the F22B and F23 engines have 3.

        More proof:

Its THREE, not two like I thought. Honda just removed one of the four bolts for no apparent reason.
        Here's the diagram for F23/F22B

Why there's information out there that says this a problem I will never know.

So it looks like the search function was your friend this morning

Maybe edit what you have here into some sort of "Look what I figured out guys" type of shit, clean up the gibberish in the posts and you'll have contributed something helpful to the community.

For reference the only reason drilling out the esp mount wouldn't work is if you drilled too closely to the welds/made the mount weak because of your drilling. That started out as a plate with no holes, they just drilled those holes.

You could fill them, grind it smooth and pretty again, drill new holes and then get them powder coated and you'd never know the other holes were there in the first place.
