Yea I didn't have the 12point socket when I was takin it off and it was one of those 1 in the morning deals where I jus really wanted to get it off. I bought the socket so I could use the impact for the re install

what was a pain, was finding a 17mm 12 point 1/2 inch drive socket for the flywheel bolts. Luckily I found a gearwrench brand socket at advanced.
Unfortunately most shops in the U.S do not ship international and if they do it will cost more than the price of the product itself ... I'll have to keep looking, I am want to disassemble it for the sake of sanding/cleaning it.

Beleive it or not, I just held my flywheel in place(with grip strength) in one hand and torqued it with the other.
Obviously you'd want to tighten everything snug before manhandling anything, but, with some finesse that does work. You want to make sure you torque the bolts correctly(in the right sequence) but holding the flywheel is just a matter of holding it still and stopping it from rotating. this is much easier once all of the bolts are semi-tight. Tighter than hand tightened, but, not even 20 ft/lbs tight.
If you happen to have a buddy around, have him squeeze that bitch with his hands and a towel/gloves or something. Plus, the flywheel rotates, so if your buddy(or you) stands on the left side of the flyweel it'll be like holding it down as it rotates up. Your body weight will come to play here. Its really not that hard.
Its a technique that I've used for at least a decade, probably 30-35 motors. You are only talking about 76 ft/lbs here(F22) and you've got plenty of material to hold onto. Plus there are teeth in the flywheel that don't really allow it to rotate in your hand. Its easy to hold onto.
I use a punch style press attachment for my press to seperate bearings/hubs.
If I didn't have a press, I would do it the "eric the car guy" way. Thats how I did it for years before I had a press.

good idea on the flywheel bolts but i have no competent friends so Im stuck with tools and ingenuity, but I did see a clever idea using a smaller wrench a torque converter bolt and basically it sits on the pressure side wedged up on a bolt put into the block..im sure it wont be no thing when Im actually doing it..always seems planning the attack is when its the hardest. Git r done tho right sorry this thread was veered kinda off topic too

I broke like 3 harbor freight breaker bars when I was doing my 5-lug.
it is heavy though so you need a jack-stand in order not to damage the bolt.
