yeah so i take my car apart to remove the tranny and when i take off the intake there is oil inside of it!! thats pretty bad hunh??? what is causing it and how bad is it really? oh and how do i fix it?

The oil you found is from the recirculated air coming out of the pcv valve. Cokinut has a diy for an oil catch can that prevents the oil from getting into your intake. http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=11009Last edited by dj justice; 04-08-2005, 11:42 PM. -

i placed 2 breather filters, one on the intake pipe, and the other on the valve cover in place where the hose is suppose to connect the two. this will solve your problem

like i said, tb cleaner will do the job. but remember to do this while the car is idling, and don't overspray into the tb..you don't want to flood the motor!Originally posted by flacopower
