So I've been running an oil/water separator in between my pcv and IM for a fee months now. Every time it gets to half full I drain it. Well today I took the separator off while it was running and the cars idle went berserk. Surging up and down super hard at around 3krpm. I just ran a search and found nothing so has anyone had this problem or?

Basically its a big vacuum leak when you took the hose off while it was running.
