USDM H22 in a 1993 Accord "Emissions Test"

Does anyone here have a USDM ODB1 1993-1995 Honda Prelude H22A1 engine, transmission, and using a stock USDM P13 ECU in their CB7 who has passed an emissions test without problem?

I used to. Everything was well below the maximum amount allowed

Like a VTEC Controller or after market CAT?

As long as you have a good REAL working cat (be it OEM or a high flow one) you should be fine. Also factors like how good of shape the engine is in can factor into how well you do on the test

i know its not what you asked for, but i have a jdm h22, and i passed easily with a carsound cat. if youre just going for a smog, you dont need to have the stock ecu. if you want to fine tune the car before smogging, get a chipped ecu.

how did you pass smog here in cali and what did you have to do to make your jdm h22 legit???

i have absolutely nothing to make my car legal. i just have all the visual shit, smog canister, egr and all the hoses and shit they look for. i did actually have to retard the timing a little to be within stock spec, but that was it. and i had a "test only" smog, and still passed. funny part is, i was smogged with a chipped p72, vafc and cams. and i didnt detune the car to make it pass, just threw the cat on and went for it.

so wat your car is straight with that jdm h22 inside and your smog free for the next 2 years ??? dont you have to deal with dmv when you get an engine swap?? so it can be on your vin tag or someshit like that make it paper legal wise?? this is why i want a usdm h22 cuz i dont want to hassle with all that shit since all i have to show is a shop that does it and boom its done all paper work

and yes, im good for the next two years with that setup. oh, and i also had skunk2 camgears, but they didnt say shit about those either.

lucky ass i know that aint gonna pass here in san diego then damn all these illegal swaps here in san diego cant pass for shit here.... it needs to be legal stupid cops hassle all the time
