Small rips in CV boot quick fix?

hi all. I just found out that CV grease was literally spraying all over my frame of my car from 2 small tears in the boot. I know its not that hard to replace the boot but for me it will be. This is because the lower ball joint cannot be removed since I have pile driven the nut onto it with an impact wrench. I opted for this because the threads on the nut were not threading. Anyways... I read you could use Shoe Goo on the tears as a quick fix and I just ordered some.

What I wanna know is if this will work. I used super glue as a temporary fix cause I don't have the shoe goo yet. Don't laugh it was the only thing I had.

hopefully there isn't too much dust in the boot already. I would be more worried about your axel in general and the safety of it with the LBJ nut being "pile driven" in place instead of threaded. but you being the guy who tried to JB weld his cracked transmission casing together..... I m not surprised.

I'm just going to snicker and walk away from this one. OP won't like my answer, he already mentioned how to fix it the right way.

For about 90 dollars you could get a cv joint and lbj, fix both at once.

Shoe goos some good stuff except i wouldnt trust it for that application, ive knicked some boots here and there i clean the injury well with a solvent and use permatex black put a dab on and smooth it down a bit with my finger. Let it set and its good
