Hi,
I posted this in the swap section because I'm driving an H22 accord, but maybe you guys could help me understand my problem.
In an attempt to fix some CELs (VSS/KS/EGR/VTEC OIL), I swaped the plugs from VSS/EGR (thinking maybe they could be backwards, because I'm using my old F22 EGR that I know was perfectly good). Then I go into the car and unplug the D plug from the ECU and push all the pins in, to make sure they were making connection to the ECU (For KS and VTEC OIL). Then I pulled the 7.5AMP backup fuse and let the car sit for a minute to clear the CEL from the computer.
Then something wierd happend, when i turned the car into on, but no started the motor yet, the CEL came on and stayed on. Usually I can drive the car for about 5-10 minutes before the light comes on just in the inherint nature of the cel's i'm having. I said...hummm, and desided to test drive it anyway to see if my VSS would work. Imediently I noticed a horrible power loss. It's extreamly sluggish, I guess I should mention that I drive a 5spd now so it's not the TCU. I would even let the motor rev up to 6,500 RPM and NO pull whatso ever. It drives slower than the old F22a4.
So i stopped and pulled over. Swap the VSS/EGR plugs back to the way I had them, and then pulled the backup fuse to reset the ECU. Again, when I turned the car on, but not start the motor, the CEL came on and stayed on and I continued to experience this horrible power loss. It drives like my friends 95HP mitsu mirage.
When I got it home, I pulled the backup fuse, then pulled out the D plug and pushed it back in, this time pulling the backup fuse first. Then I put the backup fuse back in. Now the car's CEL doesn't imidently come on but I'm still pulling 4 cels and experiening HORRIBLE power loss.
Does anyone have any ideas?
Thanks a bunch.
PS. I've checked all my plugs, they are snug.
