Probably the Balance shaft seal popped out.

Another reason to love the f/22 .. starts and runs with no oil, a thrown rod .. and GOD knows what else ..
        I mean c'mon maaann .. I drove 40 miles once on 3 cylinders.
About the only thing I know that stops these work horses dead in it's tracks, is a broken timing belt.

They just go, and go ... and go .. and go .. amazing cars .. and that's why I love mine.
Do keep us posted! I wanna watch this one ..

Definitely very unusual for such a low mileage F22 to just up and blow like that... could have been oil pump or it may have just been run too low on oil over a period of time... gotta keep tabs on that oil level, especially when using synthetic (and if you already have leaks on top of it). As for the balance shaft seal, isn't that the seal that was notorious for popping out on the 5th gens? Honda issued a recall on that one to install a retainer ring. This had to be done on my 96 Accord... not sure if it was an issue on the 4th gens, unless I'm thinking of a different seal.)

Otherwise the rest of the car seems really clean. I really miss my Arcadia green Accord... it is by far one of my favorite Honda colors. Do Keep us posted...

You said the guy that you bought this car from was just 15 minutes away? I would've just knocked on his door, had another dude on his knees punch him in the nuts as soon as he opens the door, and if the guy asks, "why?", say "You know why!" Then run away...

The car is less than 40 miles from me and im very tempted to just put some oil in there and have someone trail me home lol. I'm not sure of its a good idea or not. The day i threw a rod she just kept going and going, she even picked up a lot of speed so i could keep up with my friend lol. He was doing 80 and i was following right behind him lol

And I've already got big plans for this car once I decide whether or not I wanna swap in an H22 or build up my F22.

If funds are an issue, I'd either rebuild or even give the core to a shop for an already rebuilt F22.
Since you've got everything out, I'd go with new motor mounts all around.
They've prolly never been replaced. Same for the tranny .. replace everything while it's out.

If you're gonna rebuild or look for a plug n play F22, I'd pour some oil in it and drive the 40 miles ..
Bring a tow line just in case ..

I was gonna do the motor mounts while the engine was out so I'm glad someone else thought that was a good idea too. The transmission is fine, so I'm gonna leave that as is. I'm going to have to replace a solenoid and probably the tcu. It started throwing codes. So yea..lol anyone know how to trip the wire so I can read the codes. I read on here that it was similar to tripping the wire to read ecu codes. I don't know how to do that either or where to start.

I'm definitely bringing a tow line but hey if I'm rebuilding anyway what more damage can I really do? So I'm doing the 40 mile drive in the morning

With oil pouring out you either threw a rod through your block, or your oil filter came off. If you damage the block too bad there is no rebuilding it and it won't be accepted as a core with a big hole blown in the side.

Also you will have to do everything while the motor is out, take a look at my MRTs for what you should be looking into replacing. I go through my cars with a fine toothed comb.

You start by using the search button.

You sound young and I'm not quite sure if you know what all you are getting yourself into. If you need help you can find it here, but you must do some leg work.

Yea I ended up driving the car for about 20 miles before I noticed it began to overheat and I parked it, and got a tow dolly and towed it home. I was looking at what all went in to the H22 swap and it's quite a bit lol.

I did use the search button but i wasn't able to make sense of what i was reading on how to even read the codes. It was confusing to me. I'm more of a visual person so I have to see it to learn it. I can read it as many times as I want but I'm not gonna understand it ya know?

There are pictures in the how-to and a video on YouTube for how to get codes. Keep digging, it's there.
