    power steering delete question

hello my BF took his p/s out of his car cuz it didn't work and to make the bay look nicer anyway he took all the lines out and everything. all his friends said his steering wheel is going to lock up on him one day if he don't put some fluid in a line and loop them but there's like 4 or 5 of them to do and he took them all out. if so has anyone had problem that didn't do this or dose he even have to do that than hes confused on this hole thing.any help or answers will be awesome thanks.

A lot of people tend to just loop the lines, but the rack and pinion is still destined for failure. Mind broke, after driving with the P/S belt off for a year but keeping all the lines and hoses connected (essentially the same thing as looping the lines). I actually have the rack and pinion pulled out right now and waiting for a new one to ship.

I think the best method to converting to manual steering is to modify the steering rack like how this DIY describes:

Doing this also makes it easier to steer without P/S. Less resistance.
