    changing valve cover gasket

I recently replaced my valve cover due to leaking tube seals. needless to say i drove around 80 miles and checked again and more oil so this morning i pulled my head and noticed while pulling the rocker off that a few bolts had something on them with the consistancy of dirt (not all) the 2 holes were full of this and i could tell the bolts at the bottom had a light coating of it. along with this the lower tube seals came off and were very brittle as they broke in my hands.

just wondering if i got lied to. Engine reads F22 came from a 91 SE
runs great ... it was replaced in 2011 and the mechanic told me the car it came from had 147k and he had "paperwork" that it was rebuilt 50k ago ive never seen it. with the seals adding to valve cover, tube seals, oil cooler gasket, and now the oil pan seal im starting to doubt this. this is all in only about 25k with the engine in
