    AT wagon VS MT wagon

HI guys. I just found a sweet 92' wagon for sale in a manual. Currently I have a 91' wagon LX but its an auto. I just rebuilt the engine in my car and the trans is a low mileage unit from japan. The dealer is asking $2,600 for the 92'. Its an EX with about 170,000 miles on it. The interior is in perfect condition. Best part of all is its a stick!

Now I put about $1,300 into my rebuild along with the transmission. Given that, what would you guys do, would you buy the stick shift or would you keep what you already have? I guess it depends on if you can afford it. I think I could but the problem is how much work I already put into mine is huge and I don't know if I want to put any more work in another car.

I'm afraid to post the link lest someone else wanna get it, but its a nice car.

I would like to know about manual transmission for these cars, are they reliable, are they good, can they handle a good amount of power or do I need to upgrade it?

I could swap the auto out of the wagon I already have but thing is its a low mileage unit, don't want to junk it just yet. Plus it would be a lot of work and I heard can cost up to $1000.

It would be cool to have a stick wagon that's all im saying. And this wagon is in awesome condition. Its got rear discs and stuff.

if you do the work yourself you can do it for well under a thousand.

Id say keep what you got. you already have money in it and you know how that specific car acts. Why start with another car that may have new problems up up right after buying it.

Its an EX, has rear disc brakes, mine has drums. You make a good point though.

It seems the car was babied and is great condition all around. Check out these pics, looks like it was kept in a garage.

I'm gonna check it out, turns out we may actually need the extra car. I wanna get a coupe though, its lighter.

If it was me (I replaced my trans on my auto again as well as a new cat, custom exhaust, fluids, etc) I would so it in a heart beat. I want to trade for a 5 speed ex wagon. That's just me personally though
