Are you chipped or are you using an ostrich/daemon?

I'm chipped running cromePro. I planned on upgrading to Neptune RTP soon though.

I was gonna say you could just disable the IACV and see if its wiring, but thats time consuming with a chipped ECU. Try testing the IACV with a DMM and try resetting your base idle.

I may try to set base idle tonight, or maybe tomorrow evening, it's so cold and dark....plus I imagine I'd have to let the car warm up first. What happens if the car idles crappy again and then when I try to set base idle it keeps cutting off? That's what I am imagining will happen.

I would test the IACV first, that way if it's bad, your tune SHOULDNT get affected. If the IACV tests good, I would look at adjusting the base idle. I can't offer advice on the retune question, that's outside my knowledge base.

He should still adjust the base idle. Shouldn't he? It shouldn't affect the tune. I don't think.

                  I'm asking

I doubt it would, if it does, I'm retuning soon enough anyways....This is actually what is holding me up!!!

Used a DMM to test IACV today after work. Held right around 14ohms. Thoughts?

It's on the fringe of the spec range, but it's within spec. Now move to adjusting the base idle.

Set base idle. Everything was fine until....you guessed it, downhill! So what's next? I think I need to find someone with a spare IACV. Are these interchangeable with other engines? I may try looking in a junkyard.

That is a good question. Did you ever solve this problem?

I think the f22 IACV should work.

I don't think that will solve your downhill problem. I assume that the idle is fine now but you are still having trouble downhill?

Maybe you should check your fuel filter? When did you change it last.

Problem surprisingly went away when I solved my coolant problem....weird. Any thoughts on that? I know coolant passes through the IACV so maybe the overheating issue was doing something that affected the operation? Any conclusions?
