Possibly a small amount of oil dripping onto your exhaust and burning away. Maybe from your filter.

Can you notice blue smoke out the exhaust?

what year and model? You might have an oil cooler and that has a gasket that seals it against the block, you could reseal it or delete it.

I get a burning oil smell too only after a hard run and let off the gas where the engines winding down..it all started after I was in foreign lands coming out of a gas station, which had like a fucking 3 foot drop off the exit, smashed pretty hard. Figured the shock might have cracked the brittle old oil pressure sending unit. changed it, doesnt do it as bad as it did.. I dunno..i have a 93 se

do you have an EX or SE? Those engines F22A4/A6 have an oil cooler O-ring that goes bad and drips onto the exhaust at a stop. I had to replace that on my F22A6 before I was swapped.

I think my H22 is starting to do it now as well, lots of oil near the knock sensor area.

double check there isnt an old filter o-ring stuck up in there, seen it before and will definitely leak.

If the filter and the cooler are not at fault, it is probably the oil pressure switch above the filter on the block. A fairly common leak and easy enough to fix. I do recommend a Denso or Honda switch if that is the leak.
