    FA22 DOHC Engine?

At the JY yesterday and came across a Prelude with a FA22 engine in it.. I've never heard or seen that engine before? Is it like a miss print or what?

That's interesting. There was an engine block stamp thread on Honda-Tech but I can't seem to find it right now. The OP was trying to amass all the engine codes and their serial numbers that he could for informational purposes. This would be decent information to that thread if I could find it.

It looked all stock.. But DOHC.

It was just dirty, the markes that made it look like there were grinding had came from me trying to get grease off to take the pic

Could be an F22B that someone tried to restamp to F22A. maybe someone with an engine swap in CA that tried to restamp the engine to pass it off as the original engine?

I just wonder how you make a typo when stamping metal!

Should have gotten a picture of the whole motor.

See if it more resembles a DOHC F22B or the H23A1.

                              check the head code.

                              PT2 for F22B DOHC
                              P14 for H23A1
