    moisture inside my headlamp

I have moisture inside my driver side headlamp. Is this a common problem? How would i go about fixing this? what kind of sealant should i use?

Yes it's common, even moreso when you have opened the lamps and not sealed them correctly.

Clear Silicon for outdoor use would work best, as it is water tight, and resists shrinking/cracking from heat/cold.

Like Ralphie said, very common. Main thing is to get it fixed before it starts to deteriorate and cause the PVD coating to peel away.

I typically pull them off, crack them open, clean/dry them out, and reseal using Koito sealer.

Yes, the old sealant in your headlight is old, bad and leaking water inside the headlight and will get worst.

I agree using the best sealant ever made which is the Koito one.

Remove all the old sealant and replace it with the new one.
